Ethics and Malpractice

JODICOM: Journal of Communication and Digital Science Studies (JODIKOM) strictly requires all authors to comply with the ethical standards established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), which takes confidentiality seriously and is committed to protecting individual information. JODIKOM is available in print and online and highly respects publication ethics and avoids any form of plagiarism based on Turnitin reports. This statement clarifies the ethical behavior of all parties involved in the process of publishing an article in this journal, including the author, the editor-in-chief, the editorial board, peer reviewers, and the publisher (Indonesian Institute for Constitutional Studies-LKKI, Faculty of Da'wah and Communication, Ar-Raniry State Islamic University, Banda Aceh, Indonesia). This statement is based on the COPE Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors.

JODICOM:  Journal of Communication and Digital (JODIKOM) has an editor and editorial board who are experts in their fields and can be contacted via email and the Scopus ID listed in the journal. Authors Responsibilities

Fees
JODICOM Journal is an open-access journal that does not charge subscription fees, pay-per-view fees, article processing fees (APCs), submission fees, or other fees. All article publication processes are free of charge.

Author Guidelines
All authors submitting articles to JODICOM Journal have to have knowingly contributed to the research article which will be published in JODICOM Journal. Thus, all authors have an obligation to provide withdrawals or corrections of errors, in case of uncovering. In case of having financial support, should also be stated by authors in their article. Authors are strictly prohibited from publishing the same article in more than one journal or submitting elsewhere while reviewing process is ongoing. Furthermore, all articles must have a list of references based on Author Guidelines.

Peer Review Process
All manuscripts submitted to JODICOM journal must obey aims and scope, and authors guidelines of the journal. The submitted manuscripts have to discourse scientific distinction or novelty proper to the aims and scope. All manuscripts have to avoid from plagiarism contents. All authors are required to do plagiarism detection soft aware to do the similarity checking, using Turnitin software is suggested. In JODICOM journal editors have checked the plagiarism using the Turnitin software. The research article submitted to this journal will be peer-reviewed at least 2 (two) or more expert reviewers, who have outstanding reputation in their field. JODICOM journal have ensured that all of reviewers does not have any conflict of interest. The reviewers have given fairly a scientific statement to improve quality of manuscript, and also stating whether a manuscript can be published with mayor/minor revision or rejected in objective way. The type of review is international and double-blind peer reviewed journal. Final decision of articles acceptance will be made by Editors according to reviewer’s comments. Publication of accepted articles and the sequence of published articles will be made by Editor in Chief. The consideration sequence of accepted date, geographical circulation of authors, and thematic issue are one of main reasons of publication. The reviewed article will be treated confidentially and fairly prior to publication.

JODICOM: Journal of Communication and Digital (JODIKOM) has strongly obligated publisher, editor, and author to obey to the ethical standards as regulated by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Thus, there are several ethical aspects that JODICOM journal will take serious concern, namely;
•JODICOM journal and editors will take reasonable stages to detect and prevent the publication of papers where research misconduct has happened;
• In no case will JODICOM journal or editors reassure such misconduct, or knowingly allow such misconduct to take place;
• In the event that JODICOM journal or editors are made conscious of any claim of research misconduct JODICOM journal or editors will deal with allegations properly;
• JODICOM journal will provide the guidelines for retracting or correcting articles when needed;
• JODICOM journal or editors will always be ready to publish corrections, clarifications, retractions and apologies when required.

Copyright and Licensing
Authors who will publish manuscript in JODICOM Journal have agreed with following terms of conditions;
• Authors retain copyright and grant the journal right of first publication with the work simultaneously licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution License that allows others to share the work with an acknowledgement of the work's authorship and initial publication in this journal;
• Authors are able to enter into separate, additional contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution of the journal's published version of the work (e.g., post it to an institutional repository or publish it in a book), with an acknowledgement of its initial publication in this journal;
• Authors are permitted and encouraged to post their work online (e.g., in institutional repositories or on their website) prior to and during the submission process, as it can lead to productive exchanges, as well as earlier and greater citation of published work.

Subscription Fees Or Pay-Per-View Fees
JODICOM Journal is open access journal which does not charge any subscription fees, pay-per-view, article-processing charge (APC), submission charges, or another fee. All processes of article publication are free of charge.

Electronic Backup and Preservation
All of articles published in JODICOM journal has been backed up and preserved securely in library of Universitas Islam Negeri Ar-Raniry, Banda Aceh, Indonesia.

Ownership and Management of Journal
JODICOM:  Journal of Communication and Digital (JODIKOM) has been owned and managed by Lembaga Kajian Konstitusi Indonesia (LKKI), Faculty of Da'wah and Communication, Universitas Islam Negeri Ar-Raniry, Banda Aceh, Indonesia

Publication Frequency: JODICOM:  Journal of Communication and Digital (JODIKOM) has been published twice a year (April and November). Each issue number (issue) amounts to a minimum of eight (8) titles.

Geographical Diversity: JODICOM:  Journal of Communication and Digital (JODIKOM) has confirmed the geographical diversity of the journal. Editors and editorial boards have been selected from five continents, including Asia, Europe, America, Australia, and Africa. Most of editors and editorial boards have expertise in their field and also having Scopus ID that indicating their affiliations as well as email address appeared in the journal. The authors have also come from various countries in the world who submitting their article based on aims and scope of the journal.
