This study analyzes how the media represents Zohran Mamdani as the first Muslim mayor of New York, particularly regarding his religious identity, progressive leadership, and public response to social issues and minority rights. The approach used is descriptive qualitative with Robert N. Entman's framing analysis, including defining problems, diagnosing causes, making moral judgments, and recommending treatments. The research subjects were international media (The New York Times, The Guardian, Associated Press), while the research objects were online news texts collected through purposive sampling. The results show that the media represents Mamdani as a symbol of diversity and progressive leadership, supported by youth groups, workers, and immigrant communities. The media also highlighted the controversy regarding his support for LGBTQIA+ rights and his global political position, revealing the tension between traditional values and inclusive policies. This representation shows that the media does not simply convey facts, but shapes public perceptions and pluralistic leadership narratives. The findings emphasize the media's role as both a provider of information and an actor in the construction of socio-political reality.
