This study aims to analyze audience motives and satisfaction from the perspective of Uses and Gratification Theory through a literature review approach. The research employs a library research method by examining various scientific literatures, including books, national and international journals, as well as previous studies relevant to media usage and audience behavior in the digital era. The data analysis technique was conducted descriptively and analytically through the processes of identifying, classifying, and interpreting various literature sources. The findings indicate that the main motives of audiences in using digital media include the need for information, entertainment, social interaction, self-existence, and self-actualization. Meanwhile, audience satisfaction is influenced by the ease of access to information, the speed of communication, and the media’s ability to fulfill users’ psychological and social needs. This study concludes that Uses and Gratification Theory remains relevant in understanding audience behavior amid the development of digital media and social media today.
