Menganalisis Respon Netizen Tiktok Terhadap Kasus Kematian Timothy Anugrah

Abstract

One of the social media applications that has a significant influence in raising issues that develop in society is TikTok. One of the focuses of this research is the alleged bullying case related to the death of a student at Udayana University, Bali, netizens, and the public throughout Indonesia. The purpose of this article is to determine the extent to which social media can raise a social issue and explore various public responses to the issue of bullying and harassment. Therefore, in this case, the social media application TikTok is one of the research focuses in responding to the alleged bullying related to the death of a student at Udayana University, Bali. The methods used in this paper are content analysis and case studies. Content analysis is a research method used to analyze message content systematically, objectively, quantitatively and qualitatively. This is done by categorizing the types of negative comments, positive comments, supportive/pro comments, blaming/contra comments, and neutral comments. Based on the above analysis, we as social media users can easily and usefully disseminate issues occurring in our environment, especially social issues, especially cases of bullying that frequently occur in our environment. And when an issue goes viral, we can see a variety of reactions from the public.
